I lay on my couch, looking up at the skylight, watching the raindrops make splattering patterns on the glass, and listening to them as they crash and explode into little droplets. Somehow, I find this very calming. I look outside and see that the water has washed all the trees, and they are now a shiny green and the trunks are a dark brown, fresh and clean.
On my way into work this morning, there is a chill in the air and the wind is thinking about increasing in velocity. The sidewalks and metro stations are dotted with splotches of colorful umbrellas and raincoats, and people pull their coats just a little bit tighter around their necks.
I walk outside to get a bagel and the wind lifts my red umbrella up and I have to tug at it to keep it over my head. I am grateful I wore a cardigan today. The air was crisp and I marveled at the rain.
I am singing … in the rain.
sounds like my kind of a day!!

Meena, it was a perfect rainy day 🙂 You would love it! A bit of the fall season mixed with rain – lovely! Thanks for the comment!
