A Christmas view, that is. This picture was taken when the house was quiet, the kids were asleep, and not a creature stirred in the night. I was picking up the kids’ papers across the room and looked up for something, and this was my view. I had to capture this before it would be decimated when the kids woke up in the morning.
This view brings me joy. The little nativity set is a reminder of Christ’s birth. It also has a special place in my memories because growing up, my dad would always set up our nativity. He would grow the grass around the stable by planting little mustard seeds a few weeks ahead of Christmas. He would connect a light that shone like the star above the stable that would stay lit until Christmas Day, actually till the 7th of January. I miss my Daddy!
In all the uncertainty of this year, I am grateful for the moments of peace.
