“So many books, so little time.”
Today, I signed up for the Goodreads 2013 Reading Challenge with a goal to read 50 books by the end of the year. This is 10 books more than my usual goal and includes a bit more fiction than I normally read, but I am looking forward to it.
Of course, there is nothing like signing up 2 months late, and already being 4 books behind schedule! I guess I’d better get cracking! So far, I have read Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott for the third time, The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton—one of my new favorite books, I am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced by Nujood Ali—a fast and interesting read, and Eats, Shoots & Leaves by Lynne Truss—a must-read book. I will try to catch up this week and next with short reviews of each book I have already read, and then try to post a review each time I finish one in my list of fifty.
Wish me luck, but honestly, it is Aaron that needs luck if he hopes to have dinner cooked every evening 🙂 He usually finds me buried in my book long after bedtime, and knows that if I go out of the house, I need to have my camera, my journal or something to write notes in, and a book to read. I am looking forward to joining this worldwide challenge and love any organization that encourages reading books!!
I cannot believe that 246 challenges have already been completed and it is only the beginning of March! Egads! Here I go to finish off my next book! Hasta el proximo libro!
Good luck! I am super impressed. I should set a goal to read at least one more book than the Good Book!

Thanks, Jessica! If you do decide to read one book this year, check out The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. I really enjoyed this book 🙂 I have a huge list of books to read and some on my shelves that I have not read yet, so I am looking forward to it!
