Happy Birthday, Grace!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRACE!!!

It is hard to believe that my oldest child just turned SEVEN! Grace is an angel girl and the perfect big sister to her siblings. She is the sweetest little girl and loves her friends and family. She has the best giggle and the brightest eyes. She is an excellent reader and loves to read to her siblings. Grace loves school! I am grateful for that desire in her – she sets the tone for her siblings. Grace likes routines, she likes to make her bed, and she loves collecting “treasures”. She is an early, and I mean, an EARLY riser! She absolutely LOVES art – coloring, painting, drawing, tracing, anything art and craft-related can keep her occupied for ages!

So, we decided to throw her an art party, and she was thrilled to bits! We threw her a party a few days early (her birthday is on May 4th), so she could have all her friends together!

Most of the girls who came to Grace’s party have known each other since preschool days. It was lovely to have them all back together again, playing and having fun. They have all grown so much but remain the sweet little girls.

The girls had such fun painting, blowing bubbles, making bead necklaces, playing in the backyard, climbing trees, and in general, having the time of their lives. We were grateful to be able to celebrate Grace in this way. She has the gentlest, kindest heart, and this pandemic year, she has shown great strength and resiliency by having to go to THREE different schools as we moved around, and across the country twice. She has been blessed with wonderful and kind teachers, and always attracts the sweetest friends into her life. She is loved by all who know her, and is a thoughtful little girl. I am so grateful she is my baby!

Grace felt loved and so special to see all her friends show up and celebrate her special day. She remembers these things and holds them dear to her heart. Later, she will ask me to recount stories of this day, and will love to reminisce.
