Today was a wonderful reminder of the life and resurrection of Christ and a celebration of his victory over death. I was grateful to have the chance to spend it with family and dear friends in Jacksonville, Florida. We attended church for a couple of hours and then Dallas and Kirsten took us to this beautiful place by the river – their favorite thing to do after church every Sunday. It was fun to take some family pictures and Kirsten took another favorite picture of mine (above).
We loved walking through this lovely path covered by trees that were, in turn, covered in Spanish moss. We walked onto this narrow boardwalk to a large covered gazebo in the water. The views were amazing and the weather was great! The kids enjoyed themselves.
Kirsten was the best and took some of my favorite pictures of us. I had to return the favor and managed to snap this cute picture of her and Matthew.
When I say I think Kirsten is pretty amazing, she really is! She had planned this really fun Easter Egg Hunt for the kids after we got home from church, and they absolutely loved it!
I had to help Audrey initially but only for a few minutes. She caught on really quickly and it was fun watching her yelling “Easter Egg! I found Easter egg!”
Daxton is just a joy to be around. He is such a good boy and LOVES his parents. He was so sweet to give up his room for almost a week so the girls and Aaron could sleep in there. We loved spending time with this amazing boy!
It was a perfect Easter Sunday. Great friends. Lovely weather. Fun kids. Yummy burgers courtesy of Dallas. Easter eggs thanks to Kirsten. It was, seriously, a wonderful day!
