When I first started thinking about a garden, I told myself that if I were able to keep one pot of flowers alive, then I could expand my garden and add a few more plants and flowers. This flower pot contained salvia and two kinds of marigolds. After tending it for about a month now, the pot is on its second flowering period already! The flowers are colorful and add a bit of loveliness to my front porch steps.
Once these flowers were proving to hang on and stay alive, I bought a basil plant. I harvested its leaves a week after I bought it as it grew quite fast, and it is also on its second sprouting. I am so proud of myself for having kept these plants alive and thriving.
